Cleanup On Aisle 47

Good Afternoon Resisters,
Sorry this note is bit late, but I’m out on a family emergency. I did have the presence of mind to bring along the laptop, so there’s that.
As we continue our efforts to “Cleanup on Aisle 47” the resistance is paying off. Revoked international student visas were restored in record numbers. It took more than 100 lawsuits and 50 restraining orders from dozens of federal judges. But after 20 days of court losses, the administration capitulated. The administration acknowledged that the terminations were the result of linking the students’ immigration records with a national FBI database that logs encounters with law enforcement, no matter how insignificant.
Our calling focus this week: There are so many issues to call about. (5 Calls lists 61 issues). However, I’m highlighting the administration weaponizing the DOJ to suppress ActBlue. Since 2004, ActBlue has supported Democratic campaigns and progressive causes in raising nearly 17 billion dollars, making them an indispensable piece of progressive infrastructure. The platform enables non-profits, political campaigns, and grassroots organizations to process and accept donations by providing a simple way for people to contribute to the causes they care about. Even our very own Rochester Dems Committee has an ActBlue account to make donating for causes and local campaigns easier and more efficient.
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].
I'm calling to demand [REP/SEN NAME] speak out forcefully against Trump’s weaponization of the DOJ. Trump’s claims against ActBlue are unfounded and rely on sources like Elon Musk; this is clearly an attempt to silence his political opposition and nothing more.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Where are we protesting:
There are several protests planned for 1 May, Mayday. The closest one I found was at the Bourne Rotary 5-6 PM. This link gives parking and standout location https://rb.gy/w3rmpe If the link does not work, go to 50501’s website and drill down to upcoming protests.
For the weekend, Sunday 4 May, protest 11am-2pm, New Bedford, 360 Coggeshall Street. 11 AM meet at 360 Coggeshall Street. 1 PM march ends at Riverside Park. Sponsored by local community organizations. Music, Food, Friends, Solidarity and Speakers.
On the Economic Front: Target foot traffic down 10 weeks in a row. Tesla net income slid 71% in the first quarter of 2025. Reports are coming in of empty shipyards in Seattle due to tariffs. China has returned at least two brand new, off the factory floor Boeing airplanes back to Boeing.
My Two Cents:
I loved the speech Gov Pritzker gave in New Hampshire yesterday. Here is a link. Our party needs more of this. Bernie and AOC are doing their part as well. But this is the fire that needs to be lit under the DNC and ”bring a sword to a gunfight” leadership of the Democratic Party.
Nelson Mandela, “It always seems impossible until it is done.”
Until next week.
